One clinic, not a chain
York Region covers nine municipalities and well over a million people, and plenty of rehabilitation groups operate across it with a dozen locations. We are not one of them. There is a single Med Wellness clinic, on Ansley Grove Road in Woodbridge, and every patient is seen there.
That is worth saying plainly, because it sets a sensible expectation. If you live in Newmarket, we are not your local clinic and we would not pretend to be. If you are in Vaughan, Woodbridge, Maple, Concord or Kleinburg, we genuinely are — and for the ring beyond that, Thornhill through to King City, the drive is short enough that a good number of people make it.
What is consistent across the region is what people are coming in with. York Region has some of the longest average commutes in the province, and the Highway 400, 404, 407 and Highway 7 corridors run straight through it. Long daily driving produces stiff necks, irritable low backs and hips that have forgotten how to extend — and it produces a steady stream of motor vehicle accident claims.
Alongside that sits a dense industrial and logistics belt through Vaughan and Concord, which sends us lifting injuries, worn shoulders and repetitive strain — often as WSIB claims — and an active, sport-heavy population producing the ligament, tendon and overuse injuries that go with it.

Physiotherapy in York Region — common questions
Which parts of York Region do you serve?
Our clinic is in Woodbridge, within the City of Vaughan. We regularly treat patients from Vaughan, Maple, Concord, Kleinburg, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, King City and Nobleton, and we see patients from further afield in York Region where the travel makes sense for them.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist in York Region?
No. Physiotherapy is a direct-access profession across Ontario, so you can book an assessment directly. Some extended health plans require a referral before they will reimburse, which is an insurance rule rather than a legal one.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP in York Region?
OHIP-funded physiotherapy is delivered only at designated Community Physiotherapy Clinics and only for eligible groups, broadly people aged 65 and over, people under 20, and some patients recently discharged from hospital. Private clinics such as ours are not part of that program.
Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?
Weekday appointments run from 9am to 7pm and we are open Saturday from 9am to 2pm, which covers most commuting and shift patterns across the region.
